Work and Play

Thursday I made apple cinnamon muffins for breakfast, they were scrumptious, and then went to my math class long enough to turn in my homework then left for home.  I didn't feel well.

Friday I made taco soup for dinner.  It was delicious as usual.  Yesterday morning, I found a tear in my favorite purple dress as I was getting ready for church and lost to Kyle at Skip-Bo...terrible way to start my day, but Kyle was pretty excited...about winning.  After church we ate more taco soup and then decided to play Dicecapades, which is fantastic!  There are over 100 dice and some of the card you draw say things like role a green number dice and do that many sit ups and move 3 spaces, or each player take one of each of the number die and who ever stacks all of them on top of each other first within 30 seconds move 2 spaces.  It also has real trivia questions, but I find the random things to be the most fun.

My flowers are getting ready to bloom!!! I can't wait!  Ugh...the anticipation in killing me!  It's so exciting to think that I could help them grow up to be beautiful flowers! :)

Saturday we went to Idaho Falls.  These are some jeans we found in JC Penny's.  They make me think of my friend KC soon-to-be Barnwell.  She looks good in everything, including colored jeans. Jealous.

After Idaho Falls we went to a play and I was so tired that I pretty much hated the whole thing...it just went on and on and Everyman was so whiny!  I couldn't take it, but we had to stay because Kyle had to watch it for his humanities class.

Today is Memorial Day so Kyle and I didn't have school, so instead Kyle got up at 7:15 so he could submit an assignment by 8 for his humanities class that in over on Friday, then I got up at 7:45 to clean the apartment up (Kyle did dishes...he's so wonderful!) and look over my group math homework, then a girl from my math group came over at 9 a.m. and we worked on our team homework for almost 4 HOURS!!! Some day off that was.  Then Kyle read to me and played with my hair and then I took a nap while he did more homework.  Did I mention it was supposed to be our day off?  We wanted to do something fun so we thought we'd play a game and agreed on Taluva....we got it at this game store in Salt Lake City while we were on our honeymoon and we love it.  I don't feel like explaining it so I won't, but we really enjoy it...Kyle won :(  He wins a lot.

Kyle decided that we should have hotdogs for dinner so I helped him clean out the grill and he got things hot, and while things were heating up I convinced Kyle to go get chocolate and graham crackers so we could make s'mores afterword.  The hotdogs were delicious...it makes me want to go camping so bad.

But when I went to get the marshmallows out of the cupboard they were GONE!  No s'mores for us.  Disappointment.  So we did dishes instead.  And it's raining

The Duck Pond

This morning Kyle didn't have class...lucky.  As for my luck however, I had to go to math and learn about mortgage payments and interest rates, but the clouds, oh the clouds!  Sooo GORGEOUS today and I couldn't wait to go out and take some pictures...I had to beg a little, but Kyle eventually caved.  We took our little excursion to the duck pond and I can't even believe how great of a day it was, I was so happy.

Kyle had fun skipping rocks and chasing ducks, but then I made him my picture slave. mwahahaha! :D
I was so excited to take so cool reflection pictures because I think they are fun and I just love them.

The "duck" pond...and then Kyle through a rock at it.
We got yellow dandelion pollen spots all over us and the bees were everywhere!  I love bees...Kyle hates them and it makes me laugh. :)  I said "Kyle, we love flowers, they love flowers, we're all friends here." but he still wasn't happy about it.

Dear Winter, It's Over!

Please, don't come around here anymore.  I don't want you back for at least a year.  Oh wait...maybe just a couple flings before things really start to heat up.

The weather here is being SOOO BIPOLAR!  It was nearly 80 degrees the day before last, 77 to be precise, and the very next day what does it do?  It's a freaking BLIZZARD!  UGH!  In all honestly I love the winter time, I love to play in the snow and make snowmen, snow angels, go snowboarding, and snow is just beautiful, but when it's over and the seasons change and things are blooming it needs to stay gone and wait it's turn!  And it wasn't just one freak blizzard, there were two!  One around noon-ish, followed by beautiful sunshine, and then another blizzard of hail around 5:30 ish.  It was a bit ridiculous.

This was yesterday around noon-ish...

By The Light of Your Headlights

Kyle and I went on a mini adventure last night so that I could try out taking night pictures.

Here is my favorite...which I think is fantastic, so you if you think anything less...please don't bruise my ego and keep it to yourself.

This one turned out pretty neat, too.

Also, last night while we were eating dinner we started talking about chili and Kyle says to me regarding my dad's chili..."you can't even really call it chili...it's more like the soup of the gods!" and yes...it is that good.

Hair Cut

This last week Kyle decided that he officially wanted to cut his hair. We decided Sunday would be the day, but after a slight mental breakdown (him this time, not me) because of school, and a surge of motivation today seemed like a better day, so we got some clippers and I went to work. A bit spontaneous, and I like it.

Bagpipes...

Yesterday Kyle and I took a nice little bike ride to the nature park and as we are riding around the duck pond we hear bagpipes...yes, bagpipes...then we come around to the other side and sure enough there was a man playing the bagpipes.  Unfortunately he was not wearing a kilt.  Then it started to rain and the wind started to blow and the whole way home we were riding against the wind.

Date Night

Tonight we went on a date.  We went bowling and I did sooo aweful, I got a gutter ball on every frame...sometimes two in a row.  Kyle was kicking my butt!  I was so mad, but then I kept getting better.  We bowled three games, Kyle won the first two and I did so fantastic on the last game (120) that my overall score for all three games was higher than Kyle's!!! I was pretty happy...to say the least.  Then we went and got Jamba Juuice and the guys in front of us had an extra coupon for buy one get one free and he was so kind as to give it to us, so we got a free Jamba and that makes everyone happy.  Then we went to the cheap theatre (and snuck in our Jamba + free Jamba) and watched The Back-Up Plan...which was pretty funny, Kyle and I enjoyed it.  That was our date and I loved it!

On a side note...I got so much homework done that I don't have anymore for the weekend AND I am pretty much done with homework for my Old Testament class, which the one I get a ton of work in.  I feel pretty good about it.

It's 12:00am exactly.  Good night.
